The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Gonzalo Manceñido

 
Gonzalo Manceñido is the Sub Director of Marketing and New Business Development for the CAM Region at Telefónica Centro América, the premier Spanish multinational company by market capitalization and one of the largest private telecommunications providers in the world. With over 16 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Gonzalo oversees business and product development, marketing strategy, devices portfolio and innovation of product & services. He co-manages marketing operations for the region of Central America, which includes OBs in Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica and Panama, after 8 years of experience overseeing the marketing department for Latin America’s region in Spain’s Headquarters.
 
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina ‘Santa María de los Buenos Aires’, Gonzalo went on to complete a Master of Business Administration as “best in class” from ESIC: Business & Marketing School in Spain. Committed to a lifelong pursuit of excellence, he has completed extensive Executive Education in, Leadership; Commercial and Marketing Management from ESADE Business and Law School; as well as in Marketing Strategy in Business Markets from IE Business School. Prior to joining Telefónica in 2005, he worked at Movicom Bellsouth in Argentina since 2000 and also served as an Assistant Professor of Marketing I and Theory of Knowledge courses at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA).
 
Socially minded, while in high school he volunteered for the organization Creativity, Action & Service (CAS). For more than 10 years, he formed part of a Theatre Drama Group, Comicografos, were he performed leading roles in plays such as “Sir Gawain”, “Dracula” and “Don Giovanni”. A former tennis and paddle player during his adolescence, he won championships in Buenos Aires, Punta del Este, Madrid and Guatemala; in his spare time he keeps up with the sport, enjoys scuba diving and attending the cinema, being a very big fan of James Bond saga!
 
A highly accomplished executive, Gonzalo is recognized for his integrity, strong leadership, strategic planning, key relationship management and forward-thinking vision. He speaks fluent English, Spanish and a working proficiency of Portuguese, and has resided in Guatemala since December 2014.
