Jay Shayevitz is an attending aensthesiologist and Associate Director at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York City. Jay completed his residency at Babies Hospital (Columbia), Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He is a Johns Hopkins Medical Center Fellow and MD graduate of the University of Michigan where he helped build the clinical research center. In addition to his MD, Jay holds an MS in Biostatistics and Clinical Research Design from the University of Michigan.

A physician of over three decades, Jay has clinical experience in a variety of fields and board certification in advanced pediatric anesthesia, competency in ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, and FATE echocardigrapohy. His special interests include acute post-operative pain management, ambulatory anesthesia, and non-OR anesthesia. He belongs to the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a frequent public speaker and a recreational sailor who enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. Going forward, Jay is looking to complete his clinical career and step into a position with steady income and more spare time.
