The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Member of the Year Ashraya Ananthanarayanan
Ashraya Ananthanarayanan is the Operations Manager of Empower the Dreamers, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarships for underprivileged students and promoting higher education as an accessible and feasible option for those who might not otherwise seek it. Currently an undergrad at Harvard University, she has keen knowledge of the benefits of access to a top education, and the life changing opportunities it can present. She also sits on the Empower the Dreamers Board of Directors, and combines the collaboration of educators, educational institutions, volunteers and students to connect and inform students about the educational opportunities available to them.
Already a budding legal and professional tour de force, Ashraya has already been recognized with the Congressional Award, the PAGE award, the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Award, FBLA award, and several others. An accomplished pilot, she received the Women’s Aviation Scholarship. Currently pursuing Legal Studies, she already has a sense of the big picture and has been featured for her excellence in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Montgomery news, Kind News, THE HINDU, Mercury, Times Herald, Phoenixville News, Philadelphia Music Magazine, Limerick Patch News, American Girl, PETA, MSN news, Zee News, National Geographic Magazine, Thendral and Sangamam, Carnatic Darbar and several others.
Ashraya’s educational accomplishments parallel her leadership achievements with notable worldwide studies at AMEB, Australia; The University of Cambridge; ABRSM, Royal School of Music, London; Fly Elite Aviation Academy; and Alagappa University, India. This international education is reflected in her impressive language mastery—her superior communication skills are only complemented by her proficiency in Latin, Hindi, Spanish, English, French, Bengali and Tamil.
Ashraya credits her success to her sharp focus and the understanding that great things are accomplished through collaboration. In addition to her studies and management of Empower the Dreamers, she is also a published author of three books: Ring of Hope, Aria and Fifth Gate.
