The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Marcela Márquez

 
Marcela Márquez is a Partner and General Manager at RM Iuris Corp, a top law firm specializing in corporate law, intellectual property, trademarks, financial planning, energy contracts and the international trading of hydrocarbons. With over 30 years of experience in the legal sector, Marcela’s work focuses on the energy sector and international trading operations.
 
With a Law degree from Anahuac University, Marcela also earned a specialization in Energy and Maritime Law at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Prior to founding RM Iuris Corp, she worked as a General Counsel for more than 25 years at PMI Comercio Internacional, S.A. de C.V., the international trading arm of PEMEX.
 
Marcela is known for her deep knowledge of Mexican ports and trade, including all matters of contracting related to imports, exports, and specialized trading of hydrocarbons. She has published several articles about energy and trading hydrocarbons, the most recent in the English e-magazine “All About Shipping, Co UK”, entitled: The New Legal Regime for Hydrocarbons Market in Mexico.
 
In addition to her membership in the ISoBL, she is a member of the Women’s International Shipping Trading Association (WISTA) and serves as a qualified arbitrator for the Chamber of Commerce of Mexico (CAM) and is part of the Iberoamerican Institute of Maritime Law. She is also a regular attendee of conferences at the American Institute on topics of Energy Reform.
 
Outside of her legal career, Marcela offers private translation services from English to Spanish and Spanish to English for professional, legal, administrative, and other types of documents or publications. She resides in Mexico City.
