His 30 years of global experience in Insurance Sector handling claims, risk inspection & underwriting, education and brokerage makes him a successful professional. His firm Fundagroup Insurance Brokers Ltd provides customers bespoke insurance products to meet their needs.
 
BK Sharma is the Founder of the Innovative Insuretech startup CLAIMyEXCESS. CLAIMyEXCESS reimburses its customers the excess amount deducted by Insurer during the Insurance claim settlement. Utilising parametric risk solution, this online micro-product is a high-tech take on traditional financial services. Vision of BK is to grow and launch CLAIMyEXCESS globally.
 
No stranger to innovation in the digital marketplace, BK was an angel investor and co-founder of the Cabchooze Taxi app, which brought on-demand car service and ride sharing to the New Zealand Taxi marketplace and was one of the stakeholders formed by the NZ Ministry of Transport to liberate taxi regulation.
 
BK attended the Air Force Central School in Delhi Cantonment and the National Institute of Technology in Chandigarh, where he graduated to B.Sc. (Hons.)Production Engineering and received a silver medal with distinction. Outside of his entrepreneurial endeavours, he enjoys travel and golf.
