The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Evangelos Astreinidis

Evangelos (Evan) Astreinidis is a very successful, innovative and exceptional businessman. A structural engineering expert, he currently serves as Director of CRD-Structural Assessment & Monitoring. http://www.crd.gr

CRD was founded back in 2001 by Evan, and specialized in Structural Assessment of Civil Structures and Structural Monitoring with the aid of Fiber Optic Bragg Grating Sensors (FBG sensing). The typical projects are bridges, power plants, buildings, rail structures. A significant specialization of the office is the application of the FBG to Archaeology Engineering. Evan has designed and installed tailor made FBG sensing systems for the monitoring of the Renovation of Athens Acropolis Monuments and the Parthenon during the Renovation Works. CRD has also marketed an array of structural monitoring tools, sensing systems, and other services that integrate with structural intervention methods.

In the period between 2014 and 2019, Evan has served in Qatar Integrated Rail Project (QIRP) as Senior Manager Structural Engineering. Among the most important projects of QIRP are the Qatar Rail Metro, the Qatar LRT and the Qatar Rail Transit Oriented Development.

Known for his ability to find solutions to problems, Evangelos is known for his innovative thinking and creative ideas. He holds a Doctorate degree (PhD) in Computational Mechanics, and believes that ingenuity and finding new solutions have been the key to his success, along with his passion dedication and drive. Looking ahead, he plans to expand his operations in new technologies.
