The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Eduardo Cué
Eduardo Cué has over 30 years of experience as an international journalist and communications consultant, drawing upon extensive experience in print and broadcast media to improve the internal and external communications of multi-national corporations, governments and media organizations.
Eduardo’s accomplishments include improving the communications of the military in African and Latin American countries; reorganizing the communications departments of the Nigerien Defense, Interior and Justice Ministries; developing a social media communications strategy for the African Union; and handling crisis communications for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
As a journalist, Eduardo reported for major media outlets including The Washington Post, served as Latin American correspondent for The Times (London), reported from Europe, Africa and Latin America for US News & World Report, served as Paris and Brussels bureau manager for United Press International, and worked for The Associated Press in Paris.
In addition, Eduardo has wide-ranging experience as a television correspondent, anchor and analyst, reporting for the Mexican network Televisa in Paris and Washington, DC and serving as international news editor at France24. He is currently covering European news from Europe for the I24News network. He has taught journalism at La Sorbonne in Paris and other French universities and coached journalists in 38 African countries. Eduardo appears frequently on French radio and television as an international affairs analyst.
Over a period of ten years Eduardo carried out missions as a spokesperson for the UN Refugee Agency in Geneva, New York, Chad, and Colombia, where he was regional public information officer, as well as in South Sudan and Mali.
As a communications consultant for over 20 years Eduardo works with heads of state, government ministers and top business leaders on how to better communicate with the media, how to handle crisis communications, how to answer difficult questions without lying, and how to get messages across to the media and public. He coaches clients on preparing for interviews for print and television in three languages — English, French and Spanish.
Eduardo received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and European history from Georgetown University in Washington, DC , and a Master of Science degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York. He speaks fluent English, Spanish and French, and credits his success to hard work and perseverance. He looks forward to connecting with likeminded professionals.
