Dirk Smeenk is an experienced marine engineer with steam, diesel and diesel- electric propulsion exp. Dirk has handled many breakdowns while at sea and managed to get it repaired with limited spares aboard. He is interested in chief engineer or project man. assignments in relation with marine eng. exp. Dirk credits his success to great customer service and the saying, “keep on sailing.” Within the next 5 years, he looks to retire or take part in offshore career management. He has produced several reference and instructional guides. Dirk is fluent in English, Dutch, French, and German.
