Abdulla bin Issa Al Rawahy has been Chief Alliances and Partnership Officer with Ooredoo, Oman since March of 2015, after starting with the company as Chief Technical Adviser in 2004. At Ooredoo, Abdulla is responsible for all the mobile and fixed solutions for government alliances and B2B in Oman. With over 30 years of experience in the telecom industry, Abdulla’s first job was within the cable and wireless industry in the UK. Prior to Ooredoo, Abdulla was the Chairman and Founding Member of the Oman Fibre Optic Company (1990.) He has spoken to study groups for the ITU, an international organization within which governments and the private sector coordinate global telecom, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Abdulla plans to retire in the next year and dedicate his time to Cloud analytics. He is fluent in English, Arabic and Swahili.
