David L. Bole, Sr. brings more than 50 years of experience in oil and gas Investments and Transactions, including previous senior executive roles with Quantum Energy Partners (Managing Director), Randall & Dewey, a division of Jefferies & Company, Inc., (Managing Director), SouthView Energy (Co-Founder and President), Alexander Energy Corporation (Director and Chief Financial Officer), Edwards & Leach Oil Company (Co-Founder and President), Equitable Resources Energy Company (Vice President, Corporate Development) and Merrill Lynch & Company (National Product Manager for Oil and Gas Investments in New York).

In 2012, along with his three children, Julia, David, Jr., and Steve, David formed Houston-based JDS Energy, LLC to manage their family oil and gas investments and to continue his efforts to source investment opportunities and perform due diligence services for other significant energy investors.He also serves as senior advisor to Houston-based, generational oil and gas Single Family Office, Petro Lucrum, Inc.David is the Co-Founder and Chairman for Family Office Exclusive, a private invitation only Single Family Office club which hosts private Energy Investor events. David also serves as the Chairman of the Foundation for Energy Education supporting the industry’s public education programs in Texas dedicated to inspiring the youth of today to become the industry leaders of tomorrow.

He began his career in 1961 with Humble Oil & Refining Company and was assigned as a landman in their Ardmore, OK, District Office in 1963 upon completion of his service in the U.S. Army as an officer in the 1st Infantry Division Artillery.

David has served on the IPAA Board of Directors and has previously served as IPAA Regional Director, Chairman and founder of the Business Development/Membership Committee and Chairman of the annual IPAA Wildcatters Ball, and is a recipient of the IPAA Leadership Award. He also has served as Chairman of the Host Committee for the Texas Alliance Houston Wildcatters and on the Texas Alliance Oil & Gas PAC executive committee.

He holds a B.B.A. in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma where he has served on the Sarkeys Energy Center Board of Directors and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the University’s Energy Management Program in the Price College of Business, where in May 2011 he received the Price College Distinguished Alumni Award. David has also been recognized as an Industry Legend by Hart’s Oil and Gas Investor magazine and in June 2012 he was recognized at Hart Energy’s A&D Strategies and Opportunities conference for his diligent efforts within the E&P sector including founding the original A&D Summit while at Randall & Dewey in 1997.

David and his wife, the former Joanne Cowen of Shawnee, OK, will celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary in August, 2015, with their family which now includes seven grandchildren.
