The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Dr. James Rice

 
Dr. James “Jim” Rice is the Head of IT Consulting and Security Solutions for Sirius Computer Solutions, a national integrator of technology-based business solutions that include data center and enterprise-wide lines of business. With more than 35 years of experience, Jim leads a team of highly experienced IT consultants to provide governance, risk, and security consulting services for clients across wide range of industry. By optimizing the efficiency and efficacy of IT services, clients are able to meet or exceed their tactical and strategic business objectives.
 
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Semiconductor Design and Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, Jim quickly established himself as a rising talent in the software development and information technology field. He went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He completed a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from the University of St. Thomas, and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Information Systems Technology from the University of Phoenix.
 
Prior to joining Sirius Computer Systems, Jim held several executive positions in the technology sector. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture at MoneyGram International. In addition to his executive role, Jim works as a Research Fellow at the University of Phoenix Center for Global Business Research, where he researches topics related to the governance of information systems technologies and the application of technology to improve efficiency and efficacy in business.
 
Jim has been elected to the board of directors for the HIMSS Minnesota Chapter and has also served in the Northern Star Boy Scout Council President’s cabinet. He has been a member of the board of directors for MUG, International CAD, and is a board member of Interworks, and on the board of directors for Interex. He resides in Burnsville, Minnesota, where he engages in amateur radio, scouting, photography and travel in his spare time.
