Iyad AlChammat is accomplished professional with substantial international experience in leading business operations and change programmes within Middle East & Africa regions for various well-reputed organisations. He has a proven record of accomplishment in building and directing high performing teams as well as steering turnaround initiatives.
Iyad offers more than 20 years of success in ICT, Telecom, and high tech across industries. His broad areas of expertise include leadership, coaching & mentoring, diversity & culture, sales, marketing, operation, business development & strategy, digital transformation and startups. Iyad has held leaderships position as the Managing Director Middle East & Africa for Dura-Line, where he was leading the international manufacturer and distributor of communication infrastructure solution and systems and aligning the company with the region’s rapid change across industries. He has also served as Country General Manager Gulf Business Machine Sultanate of Oman for GBM (IBM Partner), where he delivered results in the domains of Big Data, business intelligence, and digitization.
Prior to his role with GBM, Iyad additionally led as the General Manager Yemen, Oman & Afghanistan Cluster for Cisco Systems and the Country Manager Oman & Pakistan for NCR Corporation. For his exceptional leadership, he was presented with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Entrepreneurship Award (Riyada), Jury Team leader, Public Authority for Small & Medium Enterprises Development (Riyada), and the Public Authority for SME Development ( Riyada ) Mentorship Mentor for the 5th time, he has participated in ICT & 4th Industrial Revolution Lab (ISFU Unit / Tanfeedh Gov Program) 2019.
Iyad obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and has completed an Executive Leadership & Development program from IMD Business School / Switzerland.
An Advisory Board Member of Quantiphi, BlueGranite and sindyXR startups, he also set up & introduced empowering programs such as Cisco Academy and attached program with GBM/IBM to address unemployment and build skills capability in the country.
