The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes John Jolley
I qualified as a clinical research Pharmacist and have more than 40 years of experience working with in the International Pharmaceutical Industry. I started working for Beecham as a management trainee and progressed to General Manager of a Beecham subsidiary in Ireland before being recruited by Boehringer Ingelheim where I worked as their Technical Director for the next 15 years.
In 2001 I left Boehringer to start up PharmaConsult Ltd, a Pharmaceutical Consultancy and Training organization which now has clients globally in all market sectors of Pharmacy. I have been awarded with the Freedom of the City of London on being invited to become a Liveryman of the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries and also have fellowships awarded by the Chartered Institute of Quality Management and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, as well as serving as Chairman of Trustees for a Nursing home.
During the current Covid-19 pandemic I had the opportunity to catch up with my reading of those many reports that I had always intended to read, and was particularly concerned to read in an OECD report that 4 out of 10 patients are harmed while being treated in primary and ambulatory care and that.
WHO has worked on improving patient safety since 2004 and have stated that the Investment in improved postgraduate training can lead to significant financial savings, and more importantly better patient outcomes.
With this in mind I have established “The International Academy of Pharmaceutical Practice Standards” an organisation that will provide eLearning courses to promote the best operating standards so we can assure patients of the Quality Safety and Efficacy of the medicines we prescribe and dispense.
If you can help me with this new International project I would look forward to networking and connecting with you so together we can try and make a difference in improving the quality of patient care no matter where patient may live.
