The International Society of Business Leaders Recognizes Manuel Nedbal
Manuel Nedbal is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of ShieldX Networks, a stealth start up leading the transformation of security for the cloud technology age. Engaged in critical research and development, the firm is at the fore of security development and offers the utmost in Silicon Valley ingenuity and computing.
With more than 20 years of experience in computer science and information technology, Manuel is a seasoned leader and intimately is able to guide and strategize for ShieldX and his clients’ futures. With a master’s degree in Computer Science from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, he speaks fluent English and German, and has demonstrated himself as an international player in the technology field.
During the course of his impressive career before co-founding ShieldX, Manuel has worked with industry leaders including Network Associates, McAfee and Intel Corporation. He served as the Principal Architect for McAfee’s industry leading Network Security Platform and invented core technologies leading to the first 10 Gbps deep packet inspection appliance in the industry. In parallel, he was a founding member of the McAfee Principal Architects Forum, where he was appointed to lead their Software Defined Datacenter Security group. In that position, he served as the liaison between McAfee and Intel with a focus on cloud computing, virtualization and data centers. Manuel also founded an initiative to help define and bring Software Defined Security to the market. He hired a new engineering team within Intel, defined the vision and roadmap for Intel’s Open Security Controller and led its introduction to the general market.
