Rudiger Glanzel is Managing Partner at DIRECT Intercontinental Ltda, a Logistics and Forwarding Company located in Brazil delivering engineered logistics solutions for indivisible heavy lift and oversize cargo such as reactors, blades, presses and production platforms as well as self-propelled and static machinery, also offering cutting edge comprehensive services for containerized ocean and airfreight cargo. With 28 years of experience, Rudiger utilizes his unrivaled expertise and dynamic leadership skills to generate enthusiasm, reliability and pro-activeness among company members and bring about excellence in cargo management.
Rudiger’s international background makes him ideally suited for his current position and the global logistic services market. Hailing from Germany, Rudiger began his career by serving as Export Assistant Manager in a German machinery exporter before moving on to assume responsibility for the export and import for Germany/Benelux/Scandinavia through a large Spanish freight forwarder. He was then Sales Manager for Sea Road and Freight, where he spearheaded foreign campaigns in China, the US, the UK, Germany and Scandanavia, before he was promoted to General Manager, a position that took him on frequent international travels for negotiations with carriers, agents, cargo networks, VIP customers and port terminals in the US, Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, Argentina, India, and various Southeast Asian countries.
Rudiger’s personal mission statement is as follows: “It is not only our structure, knowledge and daily work that keeps our logistics service at highest levels. What makes the real difference is sincere interest, true courage and permanent dedication to the cargo – and in fact, business itself – of our clients.”
Rudiger resides in Brazil where when not engaged with work, he is an oil painter, practices meditation and takes frequent nature walks.
