Yiannis Pogas has over 30 years of experience in his field, and is highly knowledgeable in food service and beverage management. He offers a myriad of experience in hospitality, hotel management and culinary education.
A motivated hospitality executive, his culinary expertise has been showcased in Hotels, Conference Centers, Health Care, Hospitality Education and Consulting Services. A graduate of “Les Roches” Hotel Management School, he was taught to be efficient and professional.
His extensive education includes his Hotel Management Diploma and Food and Beverage Management Diploma both from “Les Roches,” International School of Hotel Management, in Switzerland from 1984 to 1986. He has accomplished 10,000 hours of teaching, and has trained more than 5000 foodservice professionals in the last 32 years.
Yiannis has been recognized for assessing operational needs and developing solutions to reduce costs, increase revenues, and drive customer satisfaction. He is resourceful and well-organized with excellent leadership and a strong background in training and team development.
A customer-oriented professional with a strong history of leading high-performance teams to meet or exceed objectives, he is dedicated and hardworking with internal drive to deliver excellence. His philosophy in management of leading by example is wholly practiced and applied in every situation.
Yiannis oversaw events at SOFITEL CAPSIS HOTEL 1997, with the first summit of heads of states of North-Eastern Mediterranean, under the requirements of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of 7 state leaders. He dealt with all organization, operating the event with success. At SOFITEL CAPSIS HOTEL in 1996, he served an InterAmerican insurance company incentive, organizing a mass check of 1150 guests.
Prior to working with Ecole Ducasse Education, he served as Deputy General Manager for a complex 4 and 5 star hotel organization with a max of 650 rooms, conference facilities, managing over 350 employees. He was Hospitality, Food & Beverage Manager for the Maternity Hospital, and extremely sensitive in terms of hygiene, nutrition and services provided to special guests, managing over 300 employees. He is HACCP certified and an ISO 22000 Lead Audit.

SERENDIPITY CAFÉ, Levidou, Kifissia, where he provided consulting Services for Creating the Menu in the Cafe.
